Limnables^® are concept stories for children, in picture book format, that children and other artists can illustrate themselves.

The stories are very entertaining and they also challenge children to think. The characters are unique and they find themselves in situations that children will recognize.

Limnables^® are raw materials. Their uses are limited solely by the imaginations of their readers.

Children in Grades 1 - 3 initially need some help reading the stories, but they are wonderfully uninhibited about limning them! The pictures they create, plus the large print, short lines and repetition, help new readers recognize new words and read their own books more independently.

Children who already read independently can use Limnables^® to fill the emptiness of a rainy day, of a long trip, or of convalescence.

Artists can use Limnables^® to experiment with different ways to illustrate the same stories, to create very personalized gifts for their favourite preschoolers or, to demonstrate their skills as illustrators to publishers.

Primary school teachers and care givers can use Limnables^® to boost confidence and explore feelings, as well as improve literacy and/or artistic ability.
